Architectural Control Committee (ACC) Update
(Questions for the ACC? Our ACC question form is live here!)
As the spring weather approaches, we wanted to remind Foxvale Farm Homeowners that allarchitectural changes or exterior additions require a written request for architectural change and approval by the ACC prior to commencement of the architectural change. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure the harmony of appearance and quality of architectural and external designs within the FoxvaleFarm community. Examples of exterior changes that require the ACC approval include the installation of fences, playsets, awnings, solar panels, pools, or decks, replacement of exterior doors, exterior lighting, siding, and garage doors, home additions, and many other items. The Architectural Guidelines and steps on how to submit a request are outlined on our website:
Bi-monthly, we plan to update the neighborhood on recent actions by the ACC. In January and February 2022, the following requests were submitted for review:
• 10702 Wynkoop: A request for home renovations was approved. This involves adding a screened-in porch, a patio, updating the roof, light fixtures, front door, and shutters. The front door style and shutter style are new to the neighborhood and were added to the approved list of doors and shutters at a recent meeting involving the ACC and the Board.
• 1002 Riva Ridge: Request to replace a window and repair siding on back of house to match color of current siding was approved.
• 1005 Riva Ridge: Request for storage shed was denied.
• 1011 Riva Ridge: A request to add a playset to the backyard and widen part of the pipe stem and their driveway was approved.
• 1015 Riva Ridge: A proposal to replace the existing 6-foot fence with an approved 4-foot 6 board estate fence, in the same location, was approved.
• 1028 Riva Ridge: Fence repairs were completed.
Our members of the ACC include Nancy Keefe (chair), Paul Mutino, Robin Marusin, Brian Kainec, and Dave Clark.
